Privacy Policy

manchi.tech ("we", "us") provides operating software for coaching institutes. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and the rights available to institutes, students, parents and staff whose data is processed on our platform.

1. Data we collect

Institute account data (business name, GSTIN, address, billing contact); user account data (name, email, phone, role); student and parent records uploaded by the institute (name, contact, batch, attendance, fee ledger, assessment scores); biometric templates captured through paired hardware; and technical data (device, IP, log timestamps) needed to run the service.

2. How we use it

To deliver the modules the institute has enabled (admissions, attendance, fees, communication, analytics), to support and secure the account, to prevent fraud, and to meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal data and do not use student data to train third-party models.

3. Roles under DPDP

The institute is the Data Fiduciary for its student, parent and staff records; manchi.tech acts as the Data Processor on the institute's instructions under a signed Data Processing Addendum. For our own users (institute owners, admins) we act as the Data Fiduciary.

4. Your rights

Data principals may request access, correction, erasure, and grievance redressal by writing to privacy@manchi.tech. We route student and parent requests to the institute that owns the record. We respond within 30 days.

5. Storage & retention

Primary data is stored in Mumbai (ap-south-1) with encrypted backups across multiple Indian availability zones. We retain records for the life of the institute contract and delete on request within 30 days after termination, except where a legal hold applies.

6. Sub-processors

We use vetted sub-processors for hosting (AWS Mumbai), transactional email (Amazon SES), messaging (WhatsApp Business API), payments (Razorpay, Cashfree) and product analytics (self-hosted PostHog). A current list is available on request.
